On 23 March, BLOCK71 Singapore saw the inception of ICE71, ‘Innovation Cybersecurity Ecosystem at Block71’, Singapore’s first cybersecurity start-up hub.This joint initiative by Singtel Innov8 and NUS Enterprise, supported by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) and the Infocommunications and Media Development Authority (IMDA), will strengthen Singapore’s growing cybersecurity ecosystem by attracting and developing competencies and deep technologies to help mitigate the rapidly increasing cybersecurity risks in the region.

ICE71 will support and develop early and growth stage cybersecurity entrepreneurs and startups from around the world. ICE71 is teaming up with London-based CyLon, Europe’s leading cyber security accelerator, to provide a range of open learning platforms and support to cyber security start-ups through three initial programmes – Inspire, Accelerate and Scale. Inspire is a five-day pre-accelerator boot-camp for researchers, students and aspiring entrepreneurs to test and qualify cyber security business concepts. Accelerate, is a three-month accelerator programme to equip early stage start-ups with financial, business structure and go-to-market strategies to progress their business. Scale is a landing pad designed to provide market access to help growing global and local start-ups to scale their businesses into the Asia Pacific region.
