The Role

As an artificial intelligence engineer at S2T, you will be creating AI/ML capabilities by training new models, fine-tuning existing models, and exploring state-of-the-art research. You will get the opportunity to build new projects from the ground up, learn about the cutting-edge of artificial intelligence, explore new artificial intelligence research, and apply your skills to new and novel situations in the real-world.

We develop models in different domains such as NLP (Named Entity Recognition, Opinion Extraction, Document Parsing), Vision AI (Facial Recognition, License Plate Recognition [LPR], Optical Character Recognition [OCR]), Predictive models (e.g. to identify viral topics online).

What We Are Looking For

• Experience designing, implementing, and training new machine learning model, and fine-tuning pre-trained machine learning models.
• Experience working with large datasets, including data normalisation, filtering, and feature extraction.
• Experience with a variety of different machine learning architectures (convolutional neural networks, transformers, reinforcement learning, Gaussian processes).
• You have strong coding skills: whatever your language of choice, your projects are beautifully designed and cleanly written
• You are dynamic, curious and eager to learn, always looking to expand your fields of expertise
• You are proactive and take ownership of your work
• You often come up with new ideas to solve complex problems, and know how to get your teammates behind them
• You want your work to have an impact: rather than a cog, you see yourself as the engine
• You are comfortable dealing with the pressure of delivering an excellent service to our customers
• You can communicate clearly in English
